So its been like 15 months since I created this blog and haven't properly posted what constitutes to be a proper 'blog post'. Why did I create a blog? Heck I don't know. Could be the lack of enthusiasm as I haven't caught on to the wave of blogging or perhaps sheer laziness. Spending hours in front of a cathode ray tube typing aimlessly on whatever popped into mind and narrating my life didn't seem like my cup of tea. I'm not much of a writer anyways. I'm an engineer. I write maths equations, draw graphs and circuit diagrams, program code and perhaps learn a little bit of Greek by using words like rho, pi, theta, sigma, and the list goes on. Here I am now, nearly midnight during first week of 2nd semester of university and I'm bored.
My name is Danny Ng and I am a Chinese born Malaysian. Yes, my surname is really 'Ng'. There are no vowels in it so get used to it. Grew up in the streets of Petaling Jaya (PJ) and Robertson, Brisbane, I lived a very nomadic life spending 12 years in Malaysia and my 9th year in Australia. Went to three different primary schools and four different high schools. Let's just say it was a combination of my nomadic lifestyle and the education system having a hard time adjusting around me. Now I'm attending the University of Sydney and studying a combined degree of Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Repeated Electrical Engineering. Yes, theoretically I am supposed to graduate this year as it is my fourth, but hopefully the last sentence explains a bit why I'll still be around for a little bit next year. Go figure.
The reason why I've decided to make a proper post is because July 06 has been a very eventful month full of excitement and stress, blood and sweat and above all, God. Wonderful things have happened throughout this month that continue to amaze me how good God is. The month of June has been quite a stressful period of looking for a place to move out to, looking for a new job to sustain me living outside of home and university exams. I prayed to God asking for more faith not to worry (Matt 6:25-34) about my problems because I know God is good and He will take care of me. As I continued to pray to God fervently, slowly He started to answer my prayers. I bumped into an old university friend who I haven't seen for more than a year and he told me that he had a spare room to rent out ready in July. After that, I managed to buy furnitures off ebay at minimum bid prices which was unbelievably cheap.
As I enjoyed seeing my prayers answered, I kept asking God for more faith to not doubt Him. University exams came and the Radio Frequency paper was a bitch. Sure needed lots of prayer for that one. Turns out I found out last week that I managed to pass that paper. Sweet as! So the holidays came and I started paying rent and moving some of my stuff to my new place. Didn't start living there until 3 weeks later as I hadn't found a new job yet. As I spent my first week of holidays job hunting and working my ass off to earn money, God decided to answer my prayer by giving me a new job. Sweet I thought, couldn't get any better than this. Second week of holidays I went down to Albury for six days for a Student Life mid year conference which was totally wicked! I'll talk more about MYC is another post as it is quite lengthy. Third week of holidays, God decided to answer another one of my prayers by giving me an interview with a IT company that one of my friends from church works at. "What the heck!?!", I thought. So I went to the interview and was successful with the HR manager which means I'll be back for a second interview with the managing director.
So yeah, thought I'd share the wonderful things that have happened. Prayers after prayers were answered by God. I still wonder why sometimes I still doubt Him?
